Surgical and Dental Care
Midtown Mutts Veterinary Care is here to provide your pet with the highest standard of surgical and dental care. Prior to scheduling your pet for a surgical or dental appointment, your pet will be scheduled for a pre-operative appointment which includes, a full nose-to-tail examination as well as, any pre-operative testing required to ensure your pet is healthy to withstand the stress of an anesthetic procedure. At their pre-operative appointment, you will be able to meet the veterinarian performing their procedure face to face and have any question(s) you may have, answered prior to scheduling their procedure. You will also be provided with pre-surgical instructions and an estimate for the surgical procedure being scheduled.
Our anesthetic packages are ALL INCLUSIVE! All-inclusive meaning: all anesthetic medications including, local and systemic anesthesia, intravenous catheterization, intravenous fluid therapy, monitoring (cardio-pulmonary, blood pressure and thermoregulation), medications to go home and an E-collar (if indicated). Our dental packages also include full mouth intra-oral radiographs. We feel that all pets undergoing anesthesia within our hospital should receive the highest standard of care, which should not be optional. Despite being all inclusive, each anesthetic package is tailored to your pet individually. Because a 6-month-old puppy undergoing an ovariohysterectomy needs to be treated differently than a 12-year-old geriatric dog undergoing a dental prophylaxis with extractions.
Each surgical and dental estimate provided, also includes our comfort care package. This added package provides your pet with a smooth anesthetic procedure and recovery.
Post-operatively, you will be contacted by the veterinarian that performed your pet’s procedure and will be provided with personalized discharge instructions.
At Midtown Mutts Veterinary Care, we are here for you and your pet surgically. Whether you are in need of a routine spay and/or neuter or splenectomy.
